I work between architecture and scenography, designing sets and spaces for events in fashion, luxury and hospitality.

With years of experience as a scenographer and creative talent, I hold a master's degree in architecture from both the Royal College of Art [London] and the Politecnico di Milano [Milan], as well as a bachelor's degree in architecture from LaCambre Horta, ULB [Brussels], preceded by an art foundation year at the College of Art & Design [Brussels].

FROM THE ROYAL COLLEGE OF ARTS

“ Nathan is a curious explorer of artistic mediums. His creative journey spans a wide range of forms, from drawing to video, digital photography to cyanotype, sculpture to stage design, scenography, theatre, and even dance. By working across these different practices, Nathan aims to capture and express the complex human experiences that each medium can convey.

His artistic sensitivity comes through in his ability to bring abstract or challenging concepts to life. Using simple yet powerful imagery, he translates profound ideas into visual form, creating a connection between the unseen and the visible. His work focuses on turning the intangible into a visual and emotional experience that can resonate with anyone.”

EXPERIENCES

This portfolio showcases a selection of work. All projects can be provided upon requesT

Event Organisation

The passion for event planning began early on, formally starting in January 2023 with a private expatriate community in London that has since grown to over 1,500 members. Unconventional brunches for 200 guests were initiated, followed by a 400-person event in a transformed industrial space in Hackney (Insolit) and a recent gathering on a boat on the Thames. These experiences honed skills in managing all aspects of events—from sales and communications to venue rentals and team coordination.

Stage Design

Experience in stage design and master planning includes both planning and on-site execution for the Halloween 2022 edition of the large-scale tech festival

Hangar. Further details can be found in the portfolio. Additionally, small stage design work was completed for the Insolit project, which is an initiative developed and curated.

Filmmaking

Capturing travels, weddings, concerts, or the making of projects like ‘Lundi Méchant’ focuses on creating good visuals that resonate with soundscapes in post-production. During the latest master’s program, video studios were used to produce films with professional dancers, with directing responsibilities taken on to bring concepts to life. See the Ma or the Mirror Stage.

Architecture

Internship at Wave, a Belgian architecture firm, included contributions to various projects. Additionally, participated in the design of the Fondation Blan in Brussels, gaining hands-on experience in a significant cultural initiative.

Graphic Design

Graphic design has been a lifelong passion. Extensive work in this field alongside studies includes producing websites, posters, logos, and visual identities for various businesses. This interest led to exploring scenography and architecture, viewing graphic design as a two-dimensional form of architecture and fueling curiosity about the third (and fourth) dimensions.

3D Rendering

Development of 3D renderings took place alongside studies, creating visuals based on architectural plans and crafting 3D replicas of unique items, such as lamp bases, for fine art dealers. This involved collaboration with craftsmen to bring these designs to life in premium materials.

Online POS Development

An online point-of-sale system for a project (Babeth) was established independently, including building the site on Shopify, implementing Facebook pixels, managing Meta ads, overseeing inventory, and setting up automated delivery and labelling systems with third-party contracts.
